Zenda had to admit, this place was nice. She had been roaming for a few days now, and besides the humans and predators she had seen, this was an excellent place. There was food, shelter, water, and other horses of course. The sun beat down on her black and white coat, giving away automatically what the climate was like. From what she could tell it hardly ever rained, but when it did it was crazy. In her wanderings she had found this place, a nice field with a creek, grass, and a large willow tree for shelter. Sighing gently, Zenda made her way to the willow where she settled down on the grass in the shade. A breeze whipped through, churning her mane and tail into a mess of hair.
The few horses she had seen were all mares, presumably waiting for a stallion as she was. It would probably be a while before a stallion made his way to her, especially in this slightly secluded place. Picking herself up again, the fae walked over to the creek. After taking a sip and finding it nice and cold, she waded in and stood knee deep in the water. Shivering slightly from the coldness, she stepped out and flicked her tail and shook her head to try and speed up the drying process. Feeling better, the mare snatched up a few bites of grass and settled down underneath the tree again to wait.

l a s v e g a s let’s go to vegas baby
Las Vegas was new to this place, shockingly new. The land he was in was nothing like his normal home he made, his existence normally being nomadic. The dark bay hellion rarely ever stayed in one place for a long period, but he found something unique about the region he had recently found. L.A. usually ended up in places where there was no sign of humans and all the equines were nosy as hell. Upon arriving here, he’d found no one digging in his business and signs of human activity. Not to mention, he could scent their homes. They were almost overpowering, but the stag assumed that eventually it would even out the farther he went in. That was a comforting assumption, simply because the presence of people was unsettling to a stallion who had never dealt with them. It wasn’t exactly a skin-crawling feeling, but their scents and sounds made him uncomfortable.
Vegas walked serenely through trees and foliage, green things tickling his long legs. The scents and sounds were much more natural in this area, so he was relaxed. The trees rose regally above his elegantly sculpted crown. Veg’s multi-colored eyes flicked above him, briefly studying the landscape of the canopy. He sighed softly to himself when he noticed a clearing in the distance. Still keeping his calm pace, L.A. approached the area. Stepping into the peaceful light of the meadow, he gazed back and forth, taking in his surrounding. Snorting softly, he moved towards the willow and the creek near the edge of the field. The wind blew in his direction and carried the scent of a mare with it. Auds pricked expectantly then returned back to normal, showing just attentiveness. Calmly he walked to the willow and nickered softly to the mare he knew was in there.

Zenda had somehow managed to drift off in her waiting, as she figured out by being jolted awake by a crying bird. Picking herself up off the ground quickly, she realized what a mistake she had made. With the predators around here, she could have easily been overtaken. Shrugging the thought off quickly, she flicked her tail at the flies surrounding her. She stretched then trotted over to the creek she had drunk from earlier. Looking over into it, she saw her reflection and noticed her mane and forelock were in a tangle from the wind earlier that day. Laughing slightly, she shook them out in hopes of getting some form of order from them. Taking a peek at her reflection again, it was no better, if not worse.
The mare nosed over to a small clover patch and ripped off a bite from it, chewing happily. She still had yet to hear a sound of another horse, but had caught whiffs of scent from passing mares, but no stallions. Snorting softly, she started to make her way back to the willow, but caught a faint scent of a stallion, who smelled quite close. Turning toward the scent she stepped carefully towards it, but didn’t hear anything, so she assumed the stallion had moved on. Turning to go back to her willow, she was almost there when she heard the nicker of greeting from the same stallion she had smelled earlier. She went to the spot she heard the nicker from, and this time she saw the stallion. As she did, she said “Hi. Are you new here as well? I’m Zenda.”

‘LAS VEGAS let’s go to vegas baby
Las Vegas waited calmly, staring into the delicate whisps of the willow tree. The thin green tendrils swayed gently in the breeze, looking as if they would massage ones body and tickle acute senses. The mysterious stallion suddenly got the urge to run his body through the vines and feel exactly what it was like to touch those precious pieces of foliage. He took one hesitant step forward, his muzzle reaching forward slowly and touching the branches. They moved back and forth on his nose; he suddenly had the urge to sneeze. With a surprised blink, the stallion snorted and shook his crown, pulling back in an amused way. He should have figured that the feeling would tickle him. He gazed at it for a few more seconds before turning toward the sound of approaching hooves.
Vegas watched the mare come to him, eyes simply blank. Before long, she was a few feet from him. L.A. was almost regretting approaching the mare, but at the same time he was being silly—he didn’t need to be such a hermit all the time. “Hi. Are you new here as well? I’m Zenda.” The rush of light words was a surprise to him, so for a second his two-toned eyes continued to stare at her. The stag snapped out of it eventually, swishing his tail and speaking in a deep voice, “I am new here. My name’s Las Vegas.” He twitched his ears, acknowledging all of he sounds around them. His eyes looked straight at the mare, one blue and one green, keeping his full attention on her. The male wasn’t one to be rude and disregard an equine he had approached.

Walking through the forest,Delilah couldnt help but feel a little more relaxed than she should. From her past experience she knew to be at least a little wary. The little voice in her head, that she had dubbed Barney, mocked her but she tried to ignore him.Tried being the figurative word."Barney"seemed to never shut up,even when she was sleeping he always popped up in her dreams. It creeped her out to think that there was a weird person creeping in her mind. She snorted quietly, thinking how crazy she was.Everyone knew it.Sometimes she saw things that weren't there. As she stopped, the appaloosa noticed that she had wandered farther than she intended.'Thanks stupid Barney, you made me get lost'Dont blame me for your stupidness.Your the one that wasnt paying attention "Oh shut up"she muttered and walked into a clearing, not noticing that there were other horses already there.Standing underneath a willow tree, one of its little branch thingys fell right between her eyes.Thinking that the branch thingy was a spider,Delilah started spazzing out and jumped out from under the tree shaking her head repeatidly and rolling on the ground to try and get the "spider" off.
