Forest Mayridge && King
Forest had just come back from her touring of Europe and still didn't know to much about her new home town. It seemed quite awkward walking all over the place and not knowing anyone, not having anyone to confide in but her horse made her feel a little weary. It was on this day though that she did not worry about such things for today was the day that her horse would be arriving from India and it hadn't occurred to her until today that she would probably need a place to recover and stay. Such a responsible owner! She had been driving around all morning for a place that would be worthy of housing her mare, she meant worthy as similar to her original home in India. Apparently her new horse was very picky from what she was 'told', but Forest found the liver roan mare to be quite the opposite. Thankful even. Still she wanted the horse to be comfortable because wherever she bedded the horse, would probably also be the birthplace of her foal and they were cutting the travel time close enough to her due date already.
As Forest pulled in to the parking lot she noticed a few other trucks of different colors parked around the stables and such random places so she knew that someone had to be around. It was funny she saw the cars but didn't see the people or horses so she hoped that her hunch was right. Getting out of the truck she slammed the door shut behind her and clicked her keys to lock the doors. Her steps were light and airy as she walked down a dirt path to what looked like the main stable. The road seemed to be lined with trees and off in the distance were many paddocks and pastures. They looked nice but boarding there would have to wait, King would be stuck in a stall for the next few weeks and maybe a month afterward. Forest smiled a little at the thought, she knew that King would be good mom weather she had a colt or filly. Forest wished that she would have a filly though, it would be easy to care for.
When she reached the stall corridors she called out to see if anyone would respond for her. Her voice echoed down the halls and a few horses responded to her, which made her giggle. It was funny sometimes how horses understood more than people...

Cooper and Lily flew from house and jumped at the fence, barking. Hearing the alarming barks of the dogs, Bella pushed Willow into a gallop as she made it to the barn. She saw a truck and trailer sitting close to the main barn. Quickly dismounting the mare she lead her to the barn. "May I help you?" Bella saw a women standing in the barn. Her eyes narrowed to try and make out her features. Adam opened the door and came out with Bleu and walked behind his sister. His eyebrows arched, What's up with the unusual appearance by strangers? He asked himself. Bleu sat at the feet of Bella, quiet as usual. Willow nickered at Queen who had stuck her head out of her stall hearing the voices and hooves.

Moments later two people came out of the shadows, one male and one female. They looked related in some way but Forest couldn't be exactly sure. Shrugging her shoulders she turned to the girl first with a dog sitting at her feet to answer her question. She felt bad intruding but the truck driver would call any moment for directions and so on and so forth. "I'm sorry for intruding but I'm in a bit of a bind. See I'm looking for somewhere to board my mare... today." Forest ran her fingers through her ebony hair quite embarrassed about the urgency of her situation, so responsible. Then she felt stupid for not introducing herself. Her delicate hand reached out in the girls direction then the guy. "I forgot, hello, I'm Forest. So nice to meet you, lovely stable." A smile danced across her face for a moment then disappeared, when her blue eyes started to wander around the stable hall.

Bella thought for a second, "May I ask why your mare needs this boarding so urgent?" Although she wasn't one to question why she wanted to pay money to board her mare here. Adam held out his hand as he wanted to get Willow untacked and back in her stall. "Let me take her." He said to his sister. Handing Adam the reins, he lead Willow off towards the back of the barn. "I'm Bella Archer and that is my brother Adam Archer." She thought about putting her hand out for a hand shake but waited until she knew the reason.

Bella asked why she needed the boarding so urgently and her eyes were abruptly yanked back from their wandering to look back at her. Forest thought for a moment about the situation that lead up to this situation and prepared a short story to give. "Well my mare is supposed to arrive in to dock today and I was told that she would be able to stay at the dock stable for a few days to allow me to get regular boarding arrangements in order; however, I was called this morning and told that wouldn't be possible due to liability issues or something for transporting a pregnant mare so close to a due date. So today is when I need a stall, I expect the call any moment for directions." She sighed and thought about how she would never use them again for the transportation of her horses. She means again as she likes exotic breeds and will eventually get another horse or two after King's foal is born, none will ever be as good as King though. Forest realized that her hand was still outstretched so she pulled it back in, embarrassed and rather confused. What if she didn't let her board here? Where would King stay.

"So she is pregnant?" Bella hadn't gathered much from what the lady had said. But she had heard the mare is pregnant and due any day now. "Alright bring her into the barn and we can put her in stall number 6." The women pointed towards the stall next to Willow. By this time Adam had taken up his position beside Bella with Bear and Sun. "I'm gonna turn these boys out, then I'll come back and get Molly, Willow, and Queen." As he left the barn, Bella nodded. Walking out to the trailer to look and see how far along the mare was. Along with owning the ranch, she had been to college for a number of years for equine veterinarian. She hoped she would be able to help this mare be comfortable in her time of foaling.

"Yes... and thank you so much." Just as Forest was thanking Bella her brother spoke to her, she couldn't hear all to well what they were saying but she figured it was something to do with her horses. After her brother left, Bella walked out with him. Forest kind of frowned and thought that it was rather rude to just walk off. To her disbelief she started walking to her trailer as well. Forest knew that she might have had a good reason, but why did she. Forest shrugged it off and walked quickly to the trailer were King was. King was friendly but it still kind of bothered her. Again she shrugged it off, this time for good.
As she rounded the back of the trailer the liver roan mare glanced at her through the side openings. Clanking the locks against the aluminum material the door swung open. The mare stood still while Forest hopped in to the trailer and attached the lead line to the padded shipping halter. Slowly the pair got out of the trailer and down the road. The mares back was surprisingly straight for carrying such a weight, her stomach swayed from side to side, her coat shimmered in the sun, and her pointed ears flicked forward as they entered the barn.
Forest opened the stall door with a thud and to her surprise it was already full of bedding, nice and thick. She stepped the mare in to the stall and removed the halter and watched her walk away to the water bucket. Glancing around Forest didn't think that Bella followed her back so she sighed and stayed in the stall for a moment to see how King was getting along.

As Forest brought the mare into the barn Willow nickered to her new stablemate. Bella and Adam joined the woman. It was very apparent that the mare was due to foal soon. The old mustang pushed her face up against the wall that split the two boxes. Willow had always had a soft spot for foals and most mares. Adam walked to Sasha's stall and lead her out into the aisle. Collecting Queen and Molly he headed out to the pasture. Bella thought it would be best if they let Willow in here with Forest's mare. Bella walked over to the new mare's stall and said to her owner, "She is very pretty, Marwari?" She had heard a lot about the breed but never had seen one in person.
