Two dark figures trekked across the land. The were one their way to the Abdobe. They were told that was where to go if they were ever in need of a herd or even just other company. As they trotted the wind started to pick up. The tall grass tickled their stomachs as they paced themselves. Both mares were tired of being alone, not knowing if they were going to be safe in the area of which they had choosen. Would they be able to graze or drink, were there any predators around? All the questions entered their minds every day and night. Shooter was more than okay being by herself, but as for Midnite she was terrified of what the next day would hold for the dueo. Midnite wasn't one to socialize but she didn't like having no contact. As they pushed themselves up over the ridge they saw a sea of horses to talk to and to meet. Midnite nieghed at the sight, Shooter had stopped at this point. The sight of more equines overwhelmed her skull. The bay roan mare's ears flickered around to try and catch the sounds of socializing horses. Other mares, foals, and even stallions stood in the mix. The large Friesian mare had taken off. Once she hit the outside of the group she stopped and slowly paced through the others. Her large brown eyes roved around to try and catch any horse that might be interested in carrying on a conversation with her. Seeing the other mare take off Shooter snorted and her ears flattened. She was irritated, How could Midnite... like all of this? She questioned it in her head. No one else would get to her. She was a loner forever, no herd would tie her down. Shooter walked quietly over to a patch of trees where she put her head down to graze. She didn't want anything to do with this new crowd of strangers.

If this is open, if not just ignore this post...
Jayy-
The brute didn't much like to socialize with other horses when the sun was high, the heat made him irritable and then of course it lead to problems that could have been easily avoided. Low and behold however here he was standing alone under one of the pine trees bordering the sea of sociable horses. The crowd seemed to go on and on, way to over populated for his taste. He watched from the shadows like a stalker as some talked, grazed, and did whatever horses usually do. Feeling as if he should say away from those who enjoyed company.
When his crown rose he saw two new mares coming by way of mountains, unusual. One sprang to the crown no different from the rest but the other lie in wait such as himself. He was intrigued by her presents but lie in wait. She didn't seem the one for talking. He just watched remaining under his pine tree, enjoying the show.

The bay roan mare's ears flickered around to try and catch the sound of Midnite in the crowd of horses. No such luck, her head lifted to see a stallion eying her. Shooter's ears flattened, but she looked back to her grazing spot. The mare didn't come here to be taunted by a stallion. The mare looked up once more towards the stallion, by this time he had looked away. Good, she thought. Shooter tossed her head and took of at a quick trot into the crowd, she was determined to find Midnite. "It's time to go, now" The words of Shooter penetrated Midnite's thoughts. The Friesian mare nipped at her friend and shook her head. "No!" The black mare turned her head and took off farther into the crowd. These were still too many horses for Shooter. She quickly moved herself back to her place. The Quarter Horse mare laid in the grass. She snorted irritated with her traveling buddy. The flies landed on her hindquarters and neck, her tail flicked around to her flank to move them.

In his nature he could tell when a horse was frustrated with him and in this case the mare he was staring at seemed very irritated, her body language said so. She saw him staring and she looked away quickly then she actually went to chase he buddy in to the crowd. Surprised, Jayy raised his crown to follow her and watched through blue orbs as the mare she had arrived with blew her off then ran deeper in to the crowd.
Jayy felt that this was the best opportunity to go and introduce himself. Moving silently out of the shade his coat reflected the suns rays making hm shimmer. It was warm and there was no breeze up on the hill were he was standing so his mane and banner rested gently on the floor while he walked down. His dinner plate sized hooves thumped the ground in a four beat pattern, stomping on the long grass and hidden twigs.
As he came closer to the crowd horses stared at him, he didn't care but found a good opportunity to intimidate some. His massive crown raised above most horses there and he moved with a certain enchanting grace but glared through his forelock at those who wouldn't stop staring at him. It worked and the horses started to clear way for him, with out a word to him but he could see some whispering to each other. He didn't care, but he even thought he saw one of the horses talking to the downed mares black Frisian companion.
Once he reached the bay mare who was now lying down he remained still and made and attempt to introduce himself. "Hi there, I'm Jayy."

Midnite continued through the crowd of horses striking up a conversation with a group of two mares. As for Shooter her large brown eyes flickered around the crowd. She watched a large stallion, the one who was looking at her before, approaching her. She snorted and rose to her hooves. Even standing, Shooter was no match for the stallion at full height. He rose about one or two heads above her. "Hello, I'm Shooter" Her eyes narrowed at stallion's gesture. She snorted and turned to face the crowd, although she still stood in the almost same place.

She spoke her name in not a rude manner but then she immediately turned away from him. He could tell the she didn't much care for his company and to be truthful nether did he but now it was personal. Seeing someone turn their back on him made he blood boil, Jayy couldn't be ignored. At this point he hatched a rather devious plan. Shifting his pillars over he scoured above the crowd to see the traveling companion, standing amidst the crowd. Moving over to her he introduced himself and then did the same with the two mares she was standing with before apologizing about the interruption but they were all so pretty. In reality they were rather pretty and he knew that, thats why he said it. He smiled at them with a slight charm but he was just trying to strike up a conversation.

Nodding and snorting to herself, when the male walked. Away she didn't need this, she didn't want this. Shooter turned tails and trotted off to the other side of the crowd, incase the stallion were to come back. Continuing her conversation with the mares that she had met only a few minutes ago, Midnite caught sight of a stallion approaching them. He was tall and handsome, if she might so say herself. She caught herself staring at his stunning blue eyes, as he made his way to the small group. "Why hello, my name is Midnite. And thank you." The Friesian mare shook her head and slightly looked away but she still was facing Jayy. The mare's tall swished around trying to get the flies on her haunches.

From the corner of his eye he saw the mare called Scooter ventured off the side of the crowed, hes anger had passed and he could care less about the mare anymore. Now he focus on her lovely friend. She stood there and slightly looked away from him, he turned his head to look where she was and there was nothing of interest so he wondered what she was looking at. The other mares he attempted to look directly in to her brown eyes. He had already introduced himself so it was kind of pointless to do it again. He sighed and just when he did a gust of wind blew his forelock over to cover on of his blue eyes but he didn't stop staring. It was interesting how she didn't lose focus on whatever it was she was staring at. How could she resit, all of this, all of this wonderfulness? He smiled at his little joke but didn't say a word for the next few moments. Once he turned his crown to the other mares completely ignoring Midnight at this point as she hadn't stopped staring in to the abyss. "So what brings you lovely lady's out here?"

When the black Friesian mare looked back to the stallion she was taken back by the fact that he had turned away to talk to the other mares. Midnite snorted and walked away. She seeking out her friend. She hadn't seen Shooter in awhile. Seeing the mare on the other side of crowd, the mare took off through the crowd. Skidding to a stop at the face of the Quarter Horse mare, Midnite said, "Have you met that stallion over there yet?" She flung her head towards Jayy. Shooter nodded her head silently. "I believe he is quite vain, if someone doesn't want to talk at that moment then he is done." Shooter nickered to Midnite. The Friesian moved so that she was standing side by side with the roan bay mare.

His ears flicked back not really caring about the mares in front of him. The time here had been rather boring and he guess it was time to leave. He held no remorse for intruding upon the two mares Shooter and Midnight and he had a feeling he would see the two again. Snapping back in to reality with the mares standing in front of him he bid the farewell. It was getting darker and he had no clue of how long he had actually been here. Smiling he walked through the crowd, the smile disappeared when by chance he crossed paths with Shooter and Midnight. He sighted and believed he held some unfinished business. Speaking calmly and smoothly he stood in front of the mares, "Yes, I am quite vain I suppose. At least I however had the manners to not just walk off in the middle of a conversation and then go behind someones back to say things about them. It's childish really, but I don't mind and I bid you fare well." He smiled and nodded to each of them then walked silently around them, heading back in to the less crowded forest.

"I am really wasn't in the mood for company, that feeling still stands." Shooter spat out at the stallion. "And your the one who turned your back to me. I thought we were done." Midnite sounded childish only helping the stallion's arguement. The Quarter Horse swayed and slightly bumped Midnite to silence her. A glare shot from Shooter's large brown eyes. She honestly didn't like stallions and this was one of the reasons. Most of them redirected the blame on the other equine. Midnite snorted at Shooter and stood there in silence.
