The scents and sounds of so many horses echoed throughout the auction. Inside one particular pen at the auctions, a five month old bay thoroughbred colt shifted restlessly. The food and water in the pen remained untouched, as the colt was afraid to eat. All of the people and horses seemed to scare him, but he tried to ignore it. Though, was unable to.
Every now and then, he'd notice another person walk up to his pen and then scurry away. Jamall was beginning to wonder if he'd ever be taken to a new home. After his mother had died, his old owners had been unable to even look at him. They said that he reminded them of his dam; since he was pretty much an exact replica of her. So, they had sold him to the auctions to find a new home; and so far, was unable to find one.
It seemed most people didn't want to have to deal with a colt of his age. He was weaned, and was said to eventually be a wonderful racehorse; since he was bred from two champions. But, here he was. At the auctions, waiting for a new home, or for someone to, at least, show some interest in him. Glancing around him with his big brown eyes, he moved to a corner of the pen and lowered his form to the ground.

`LAKE BUNDY i think i know what you’re getting at
Lake Bundy had no idea why he was back at the auctions. Every other time he’d been here, his luck just ran out completely. All of the horses that he might have been interested in were sold and just waiting for their new owner to come back with a trailer. Which is why L brought his already, and it made him feel like a winner (though it wasn’t a big deal, he just felt good about it). His truck and trailer were parked awkwardly, but he didn’t care—L just wanted to find himself a horse. At the moment, he had actually managed to catch a wild stallion, but he was definitely an old timer. Lake loved the stallion, don’t get him wrong, but breaking him was becoming a pain. He was happy to oblige, but at the same time, L needed a horse he could ride. The young man got out of his red truck, walking confidently into the Auction. The stables were full of horses, and the pens had a few interesting ones. Lake’s blue eyes studied each animal, wondering how each would be to ride. Then a small bay equine caught his eye. He walked over to its pen and read the information on it. Five months old; colt; thoroughbred; bay. He looked back up and studied the colt, looking at its promising build. He decided to jump in despite the fact that he couldn’t ride this boy any time soon. Once inside, he held out his hand and crouched, making small noises to sooth the young boy. <3

The young colt lifted his tiara and glanced at the man. His big brown eyes taking in the sight of the man that had entered his pen. A soft snort escaped his flared nares as inhaled the scent of the man. Though, when Lake started making small noises at him, his twin bay auds flicked in response to the noises. He was beginning to wonder why the human had entered his pen. But, either way, he was glad that someone seemed to be taking interest in him.
Stretching, the colt moved to stand. His long front legs holding his body up as he shifted some of his weight to his back legs as he finally stood. When he finally managed to stand, he glanced around him at the ever-growing crowd of humans. But, turned his gaze back to Lake. He stretched his neck out, sniffing at the man's scent. His small, fluffy tail seeming to "wag" behind him. Carefully, the colt took a cautious step towards the man and continued to sniff at him. He was always curious and cautious about his surroundings.
ooc. Sorry about the crappy post, hun. >.<

Lake Bundy was taking in the small bay colt, slowly becoming impressed with the way he was built. There was definitely a future in his thoroughbred bloodlines. The young man liked the way that the boy looked, becoming more and more intrigued by him. L watched the young boy stand, his legs showing promise of future muscle. With the right trainer, Lake could see the bay colt becoming a racing champion. Hope stirred in his heart, bringing sweet optimism. L smiled at the horse, waiting for him to move—if he was going to. The colt glances around him, but then turned to Lake and reached to smell him. L continue to wait patiently. The equine took a few steps toward the young man, causing L to smile. It continued to sniff at him. Slowly, Lake approached the boy and touched his snout. He rubbed it softly, attempting to reach farther back and touch his neck.

Jamall's small frame shivered slightly as he felt the hand touch his snout. Though, he didn't pull away from the physical contact. It seemed more as though he leaned into it; -- welcoming it, as some would say. Though, when Lake attempted to reach further back on the colt's form; Jamall glanced up at the man and shifted slightly. But, still, he didn't pull away. It was the first physical contact the young foal had; had in quite awhile. A soft snort escaped his nares but he kept his gaze locked on the man's face. Trust seeming to shine in his big brown eyes. However, before the young man could place his hand farther on the colt's neck he stepped away and glanced around slightly. But, it didn't take long before the colt moved closer to Lake, once more. Although, this time he playfully headbutted the man before prancing around him. Just like most foals; Jamall was quite playful and hoped the man would want to play. After all, he had seen his mother play with her humans, before she had unexpectedly died. His small muscles flexed under his bay coat as he pranced around the man.

Lake was satisfied when the young equine leaned into his touch, instead of shying away. He moved his fingers in a scratching motion, the bay fur feeling soft and fuzzy to the touch. L registered the young bay’s name, which had been on his information. Jamall. The young man liked it; the sound of it was nice. When Jamall glanced up at him and shifted, L almost pulled his hand away, but the colt didn’t leave so the man kept his hand on him. He smiled a content smile, scratching the skin of the small horse. He really liked the way that Jamall looked, and he felt a hope that the young boy would become the racing champion that his long legs promised. Lake’s blue gaze watched all the small movements of Jamall, continuing to size-up all the little things. He didn’t want to invest in an animal that was going to cause him problems in the future.
Jamall began to move, so Lake pulled his hand away from him. The colt had stepped away from L and began to glance around. Still in a crouching position, he put his hand on his bent leg, watching the boy with a smile. Then Jamall moved closer to the young man again, headbutting his chest playfully. L reached up and touched the colt’s head as he pulled away. Lake smiled brightly at the bay’s playful mood. The equine pranced around him and Lake turned with him, half-smiling. He stood up and bent down, ruffling Jamall’s fuzzy mane. “Oh, so you want to play?” Lake laughed and jogged to the other side of the pen, teasing the colt. He leaned against the wood fencing and wondered if the colt would follow. A man came up to Lake, and he glanced at him questioningly.
you control the dude talking to lake. cause you need to name the price. xD

As Lake ruffled the young colt's fuzzy mane, Jamall couldn't help but lean into the touch before his auds flicked in response to Lake's words. Though, he couldn't quite understand the entire sentence; he understood the word "play". At the sound of Lake's laugh, the colt watched the man jog to the other side of the pen. Snorting, softly, the young bay colt pawed at the ground before trotting after the man. Though, as he finally caught up to Lake; his gaze shifted towards the other man that had approached the pen. A man that Jamall knew too well; seeing as how it was the same man that fed the young colt every day. But, today, Jamall stayed away from the man and stayed at Lake's side. His nose nudging the fair-haired man playfully. He was still in the mood to play. But, he could tell that Lake was busy with the other man and decided to wait. The seller of Jamall approached the pen and glanced from the colt to Lake. "Hello, sir. You lookin' to buy this youngin'?" The seller inquired of Lake.

Lake leaned against the wooden post and watched the colt approach him. So the young boy was playful? He smiled happily at the horse, leaving his hands by his side. When the bay colt reached him, he nudged his hand playfully. L moved his hand to scratch his snout. “Hello, sir. You lookin’ to buy this youngin’?” The young man turned around to face the man on the other side of the fence. L kept his hand down at Jamall’s level, playfully toying with his ears. The young man contemplated the other man’s question. Lake was definitely interested in the colt, but it depended on the pricetag. “Yea . . . Yea, I am interested. How much is he goin’ for?” His blue gaze locked on the other man’s, waiting for his answer. He glanced down at the foal and laughed, wondering what he would do.

Jamall merely seemed to release a snort as the men talked about him. But, it didn't take long before he felt the scratch on his snout, followed by a playful toying of his ears. Lifting his muzzle, he lipped at Lake's hand playfully. Though, as Lake looked down at him; Jamall quickly lowered his head and rested it against the man's leg. Almost as though he was pretending to be innocent. The seller listened to the words of Lake and pondered the question for a bit. Thinking it over, he glanced at the colt and shrugged. "I'd say 'bout 100," he merely muttered in response to the question. Truth be told, the man didn't think the colt would be much good. He didn't see the potential of the foal; but he also just wanted to get rid of him. He was quite tired of seeing the foal at the auctions.

Lake felt the soft lipping of Jamall, and smiled. He was already feeling incredibly attached to this foal. There was something about his fuzziness and the way that he immediately trusted the young man. He watched as the bay colt rested his head on Lake’s leg. He rubbed Jamall’s mane absentmindedly, liking the way that it felt between his fingers. L watched the man’s reaction, seeing his shoulders shrug. He blinked, reading into that small movement. Would he get a deal? “I’d say ’bout 100.” Lake made sure to hide his surprise. He didn’t want to think something rude, but based upon seeing the colt’s build, he should have been priced at much more! He wasn’t about to say anything, though, because what was the point in paying more? L smiled and responded, “I will definitely take him.” Lake pulled his hand away from Jamall and pulled out his wallet. He picked out 100 in cash. He handed it to the man and shook his hand. “Can I get a lead rope?” When the man left, L turned around and bent so that his head was level with the colt’s. “I’m gonna take you home, little buddy.”

As the seller received the money for the colt, he nodded his head at Lake's question about a lead rope. He scurried away to where the lead ropes were kept for each horse. Scanning through each lead rope, he came across Jamall's lead rope. Removing it from it's place, he made his way back towards the pen with the bay colt inside it. Slowly, he set the lead rope on the fence near Lake and scurried away once more. Finally rid of the young colt. Jamall, however had heard Lake's voice. Though, he only understood the word home. But, either way it was enough to make the colt whinny with delight. Lifting his legs high, he pranced in place, before settling down and looking into Lake's blue gaze. At that very moment, the colt was the happiest he'd been since before his mother had passed away. He was finally getting a home and wouldn't have to worry about feeling left behind again.

Lake smiled brightly at the small equine, seeing the way he pranced. Again, there was something that showed promise; his legs were fine and seemed to be able to control his movements. He was impressed by the height in Jamall’s prance. The man began to imagine what training might do for this foal. L might actually have a champion on his hands, and that excited him to no end. His blue eyes watched Jamall with endless amusement and happiness, because this was his first done-deal with a horse. He finally had a tamed animal—an adorable, soon-to-be legendary animal (or at least Lake hoped). Now he had two horses for the three that was his goal. Back in his hometown, he had owned three Andalusians that he was devoted to and in return they were devoted to him. He wanted that companionship again, desperately. He had it in his dogs, but there was nothing quite like the bond between a rider and his/her horse.
Lake met the colt’s eyes, then glanced over to where the seller had placed Jamall’s lead. He smiled and looked back at the bay boy. He then turned around and walked to the rope. After grabbing it, L bent down and cooed at Jamall to get him to come over. His smile was kind, and he had his hand out for the foal to come to.

Jamall's gaze lingered on the fair-haired man that was now his owner. Even as Lake turned away from him and moved to the fence, he kept his gaze on him. His ears flicked slightly at the sound of the cooing and he snorted in response to it. An almost playful snort. Slowly, Jamall glanced towards the outstretched hand before slowly stepping towards the man. Though, within moments, he had moved into a prance as he made his way towards his new owner. As he neared the man, he nudged his hand and just seemed to rest his tiara in Lake's hand. It almost seemed as though Jamall was putting his entire trust into Lake's hands. And, that no matter what happened, he knew Lake would be there to take care of him. Lifting his tiara, he stepped closer towards Lake, and stood there as though waiting for him to hook the lead rope on. He couldn't wait to get to his new home.

Sitting there, waiting on Jamall was a pretty happy moment for Lake. He really enjoyed the little colt and his adorableness. It seemed really surreal that he was going to own this foal—and for such a small amount! His blue eyes just screamed the pleasure he felt. Jamall approached L’s hand hesitantly, but eventually began prancing in his direction. A brilliant smile lit-up his face when the bay boy rested his head in his hand. L moved his thumb along the colt’s head. He moved his head and came a bit closer, vulnerable to lead rope. Lake smiled a bit and clipped the rope onto Jamall’s halter. He ruffled the boy’s mane before standing up. He walked to the gate and opened it, stepping out while leading Jamall along. A small smile curled his lip as they made their way out of the area. People were glancing at him and at the colt, but he didn’t really mind. They walked out of the auctions and to his red truck. L led Jamall to the trailer hitched to the back, opened it, then turned around to face the colt.

At the clicking sound of the lead rope being clipped to his halter, Jamall lifted his head and looked up into Lake's face. He felt the man ruffle his mane before he watched him stand. However, as Lake started walking towards the gate, Jamall slowly followed behind him. Once the gate was open, Jamall's gaze shifted around at the other people before turning a trusting gaze back to Lake. Happily, the young colt followed behind Lake. Though, he couldn't help but take in the other people's glances as the two of them passed by. A soft snort escaped his nares, but he continued to follow Lake. After all, he had no need to worry about the other humans. Not when Lake was nearby. As they approached a red truck, Jamall looked at the redness of the truck before his gaze moved towards the trailer that was hitched to the back of it. As Lake opened the doors, the colt reached his head out as if to try to sniff at the trailer. But, instead he took a cautious step towards the trailer, before turning his gaze to Lake. It was almost as though he was waiting for confirmation. But, instead of waiting for it, he gave a soft nicker before making his way into the trailer.
