As Ashleigh turned onto the driveway she passed a sign that said Fairhaven Ranch. She turned and drove up to the nearest barn for mares. This filly would be spending the night in a stall till tomorrow were she would be turned out with the other mares. She stopped the truck and parked it. She opened her door and walked around to the trailer door. She unlocked the door and opened it."Hey there Adele." She said softly as she got in the trailer and unhooked the filly. She carefully backed the filly out of the trailer. She waited for the filly to be all the way out of the trailer.

Adele snorted as the trailer began to rock again. She hated being in trailers that weren't smooth, but she knew she couldn't help it that the road wasn't the greatest at times. Adele felt the truck came to a slow stop and then the trailer gate opened. She turned to see turned her head to see the women who bought her and nickered out to her. Adele stood there while she unhooked her and then began to back out of the trailer carefully and felt the ground on her smooth hoofs ans her brown eyes went looking for what looked a lot different than her last home. She snorted and pranced in place and nickered to the horse's out in the pasture and tossed her head.

"Easy girl." Ashleigh soothed as Adele pranced in place. She had a firm grip on the lead rope as Ashleigh closed the trailer door slowly so it wouldn't spook the filly with a loud bang. She locked the trailer door and led the filly into the nearest mare barn. She led her into an empty stall and unhooked the filly's lead. She put the lead rope tied around the door handle. She closed the door all the way. She turned on the automatic water bucket. She exited the stall and locked the door. Ashleigh went into the feed room. She grabbed a bucket and put a little bit of grain the bucket. She put the bucket attached to a hook. She then went back to the feed room and got a flake of hay. She locked the feed room and then put the flake of hay in the filly's hay rack.

Adele snorted and followed the young girl as she watched the other horse's. She nickered toward them, but she was caught to go to the barn. She snorted and tossed her head and walked beside the girl. She went into the stall and stood there waiting for the girl to walk away as the black fae began to smell around her new stall. Adele looked toward the girl as she came back witha bucket of grain and walked toward it chomping on it as it filled her stomach. She looked at the hay that she brought her aswell and snorted and tossed her and kicked around the stall and reared up nickering. She was going to love it here as she had all the food to eat , but as long she got to outside to lay under the shade tree.

Ashleigh smiled as the black quarter horse filly began to eat. "Don't worry. I promise you go out to the pasture tomorrow. You have your own pasture attached to the stall." She said smiling at the filly. She sure was beautiful. The filly tossed her head and kicked around the stall. "Hey there easy girl. I know you love it here but you have to stop rearing." She said trying to sooth the filly. Ashleigh would put her out in the pasture with the other mares tomorrow but for now she had her own pasture for herself. Ashleigh looked at her watch. It was almost 9. She exited the stall and locked the door. "I'll see you tomorrow Adele." She said to the filly as she walked down the barn isle.

Adele snorted and watched her leave, and then walked out of the back stall and tried to reach to other horse's. She began to trot around and snort. Adele began to buck and play by herself, but really wanted to play with other horse's to. Adele nickered out to the other horse's then pushed her head down to niddle on grass that was peeking out of the ground. Adele snorted and walked back to the stall and whinnied to the other horses. Adele laid down on the soft stall ground and fell asleep.

Ashleigh walked out. On her way out she turned off the lights for the stable. She exited the stables and closed the two barn doors. She locked them both and walked up to her house. She ate a snack and got a drink. She soon fell alsleep her thoughts processing what had happened today. It was called REM. REM stands for Rapid Eye Movement and it was happening to Ashleigh as she was alsleep. When Ashleigh woke up the next day she got changed in some fresh clothes and went downstairs. She ate some breakfast and went down to the barn. She opened the doors and went down the barn isle. She turned on the lights.

Adele woke around dawn adn was laying down outside when she heard the barn doors opened up and the lights come on. Adele snorted and got her long legs underneath her and pulled herself up on all fours. Adele snorted and began to walk toward the stall, but something caught her eye and she stopped and nickered toward acouple of horse's and began to prace along the fence line wanting to play with then and began to buck and fart along the way down the fence. Adele broke into a gallop as she rounded the corner and ran toward the stall and as she came in she came to a sliding stop and stuck her head out of the stall door and nickered toward Ashleigh.

Ashleigh smiled"Hey there Adele." She said as she walked to her stall. "Your going out with the mares today once i get everyone fed." She said as she exited and locked the door. She gave threw out some hay to everyone and gave Adele some grain. She waited untill the mare was finished with her grain. She opened the door and checked to make sure that the automatic water bucket hadn't stopped during the night. It was known to do that when it was hot or cold. Really it just about stopped any season at any time of the day or the night.

Adele snorted and walked up to the grain bucket and began to chomp on the feed. Adele snorted when she finished and walked to the water and got a long drink from the bucket and snorted. Adele looked over her shoulder at Ashleigh and nickered out to her and began to prance in her stall and jumped out into the opened paddock and pranced around. Her black pelt rippling against her skin as she moved around the paddoc. Adele looked toward the pasture and nickered toward the mare's and walked to the fence.

Ashleigh opened the door and put the bucket away. She then untied the black Quarter Horse filly's lead rope. She opened the door and walked in the stall. "Hey girl. You ready to go out with the mares?" She asked as stepped closer to the black filly. Adele though walked out of the stall and walked to the fence were the mares were. She took out a treat from her pocket and showed it to the filly. She then clipped on the lead rope and lead her back to the stall. She opened the door and closed it behind them.

Adele trotted to Ashleigh and took the treat, but got tricked into getting caught and snorted and followed Ashleigh out of the paddock and back into the stall. Adele snorted, but then shot her head up from the ground and began to prance beside Ashleigh as they began to walked to the mare pasture. Adele snorted and settled down and walked right beside Ashleigh never getting ahead of her or behind her just staying at her shoulder.

Ashleigh lead Adele down the aisle. She began to prance with exitement"Easy." She said as she opened the gate to the mare pasutre. Almost all the mares were then at the gate trying to get through. Ashleigh smiled and shooed them back just enough to bring Adele through the gate and turn her around. She shut the gate and locked it as she took off Adele's leadrope. She wouldn't take her halter off yet though as she had no idea whether the filly would allow her to catch her with out a halter. She'd leave it on for a couple days and then take it off.

Adele snorted and stood still as Ashleigh began to unclip her lead. Adele couldn't want to get out and play with the other horse's. She was alot smaller than them, but it didn't matter to her. Adele snorted and nudged Ashleigh to tell her thanks and trotted to the other mares and stuck her head out to get a better smell of all her new pasture mates. After smelling them Adele reared up and took off in a gallop around the pasture. She then stopped as she found a shade tree and walked up and laid down in the grass. This is what she wanted more than anything in the world.

Ashleigh smiled as she watched the black quarter horse run around. She seemed to be fitting in well and all the other mares didn't seem to mind her. Though she didn't have any mean tempered ones some could still be a little mean towards new horses around the farm. She didn't have any mean tempered horses and if she bought one who was mean she sold it a couple days after. She only wanted calm mares and foals as well as stallions. She didn't have any brood marws in foal though. She left Adele and went up into her house. She grabbed a quick snack and then went back out. She cleaned all of the stalls.

Adele snorted and laid down in the sweet smelling grass and looked up to watch the herd of mare's. Adele stood up on all four legs and took off to the other mare's and nickered at them. Adele pranced around and kicked up her heels and then settled down and began to graze beside them.

Ashleigh smiled as she finished cleaning the stalls and went back outside to see how Adele was doing in the pasture. She laughed as Adele pranced around and kicked up her heels before setteling down and grazing along with the mares. She left the paddock and went back into the barn were she swept out the straw that was in the barn aisle.

The blue roan filly watched as her new owner came out and checked on her and then going back inside. Adele watched the other mare's and nickered toward at them before trotting toward the water trough to take a long nice cool drink. Adele actualy loved it here and couldn't wait to see what they was going to do. Even thought she was only one she couldn't be ridden and anything like that, but she could still work with her in her halter classes or even working with a saddle and pad.

Ashleigh noticed that the filly was only two so she couldn't ride her yet but she coul work with her in halter and showing and working with a saddle and pad to get her used to a saddle and eventually a rider but not yet. She was only teo of course. She got out some more hay for the stalls and quickly re did the hay in the stalls that didn't have straw in it yet. She finished the stalls and put the wheel barrow and pitch fork away in an empty stall that wasn't occupied but she hoped it would be soon. Every stall that was occupied of course had a plastic name plate with the horse's name and the owner's name on the stall door. She locked the stall the wheel barrow was in.
